Following the sold out workshops in October and November last year, Aimee Smith is coming back to Melbourne in March run another workshops for those interested in knowing more about how to break into the world of voice over for video games.
She’s also going to be running a separate session on how to use Twitter to make contacts and find audition opportunities.

Voice Over for Video Games – March 7 (6 – 10pm) $199
In this 4-hour workshop you’ll get a great overview of the video games industry, specifically who’s making games, who’s casting voices for them AND how to find opportunities to audition for roles.
Aimee will take you through her own personal journey from being a full-time school teacher to full-time voice actor…and what the steps are to start your own journey. the start of your own journey.
The workshop, held at Bang Bang Studios in Southbank will also includes some time in front of the Microphone recording some character voices and you’ll receive a copy of your short recordings from the day.
How to use Twitter to find Character Voice work – March 8 (6 – 8pm) $66
Aimee will run a 2 hour session on Using Twitter to Find Indie Video Game Leads in Melbourne on March 8 from 6 to 8pm and covers five specific ways you can use Twitter to find work in this space
This session is perfect for both beginners looking at setting up a Twitter account to begin marketing their service, to anyone already working in voice over who wants to find some new video game leads
